About

I am a web developer, designer, writer and musician residing in Oakland, California with my husband, illustrator Michael Wertz, and our dog, Blue.

I have built and/or maintained websites for clients including the San Francisco Symphony, the San Francisco SPCA, the San Francisco Arts Education Project, and the Million Cat Challenge, as well as several local independent artists and musicians.

I currently work in Marketing/Communications at the UC Davis Koret Shelter Medicine Program, writing, coding, and designing print, web, and email material.

For many years, I have hand-coded websites from the ground up for various clients. I have also customized sites built in Drupal, Squarespace, Weebly and WordPress. View my résumé.

For the KSMP, I designed and built the current version of sheltermedicine.com, including integration of an API to a shared resource repository. I continue to make improvements to the site and write all the press releases posted there.

At the SF SPCA, I maintained several iterations of sfspca.org, designed and wrote the copy for home page "hero" images, as well as contributing articles to Our Animals, a quarterly magazine, and designing flyers and campus signage.

I play guitar, bass, ukulele and keyboards. I am a member of the band Special Ghosts and the ambient/experimental combo, bc3o. bc3o's Library Music multi-channel audio experience was installed at the San Francisco Library for the Blind and Print Disabled from January through March, 2017.

I consider myself lucky to be a regular contributing member to the Wig Lodge and Interroclef Lodge of the Immersion Composition Society.
